One Lone Conservative's Reality in a Sea of Liberal Delusion's
...and is it time for serious legal action against them?

With the RNC convention just days away, the city of New York prepares to face whats been coined the security event of the year. From the President of the United States to the convention delegates to even the legion of protesters outside the convention center themselves...elements from the Secret Service, NYPD, FBI, US Military and a host of other agencies will have but one mission in mind...to see to it that during the week long convention (a key target of terrorists both foreign and domestic) is as safe as possible for all involved. In the months leading up to the convention itself, reports from both the general media and state and federal agencies have made public the notion that Al-Qaida as well as "anarchists and other members of the left" will attempt to disrupt the convention. For Al-Qaida this is the Superbowl of targets...one can understand this even on the simplest level without granting them anything nearing accolades...and nothing would make them happier than a serious attack especially when the President makes his speech. Now, on the other hand, as to the lefts bag of Useful Idiots, thier goal among others is the disruption of every element of security during the week long event...not because they believe they are at war with the US..no thats to simple...but then so are they...no...they disagree with the current goverment almost to the point of insanity and dispise the current president more so....politically they chant "Anybody but Bush" in unison to the point of cult like behavior. Indeed, reports of elements within the left that are prepared to travel the subways after attending a firing range to accumulate enough gunpowder residue(GPR) to alert bomb sniffing dogs (gee and here I thought they hated firearms) which would burn them out as they were alerted to the smell of GPR, attempting to shoot at mounted police horses with wrist rockets in an effort to inflict damage to them(wheres PETA?) and of course threatening to release delegates names, addresses and e-mail accounts as well as their itinerary's during the period in question. So much for the peaceful protesters.

Now while most of the lefts threats have yet to materialize, one must remember the convention hasn't started yet....but never fear...the left in its efforts to become a pimple on the earths ass have followed through with one threat so far...posting information on 1200 delegates on indy and leftist front web sites around the country...this in and of itself is dangerous to the delegates alone but the leftists behind this didnt just stop at for if its one thing they dispise almost as much as Bush its grassroots conservative groups who support our goverment and president but also actively counter protest their protests....which brings me to the group Protest Warrior. Protest Warrior (PW) is exactly what the lefts legion of protesters aint...a grassroots group, indipendantly financed, who peacefully protest(I use counter-protest) and whose goal is to fight misconceptions and outright lies with the basic truth. Why do I bring this group up...easy because what happened to the delegates was the same thing that happened to PW's site..it was hacked into recently and the criminals behind it not only recovered info about 1/5 its membership and posted said info on a leftist site for all to read...but sent out a vile, anti-conservative global e-mail to all its members.. what aggrivates me more than these two instances of members of the left doing a crime like this is the lack of reporting by the general media...whats even more appaling is that if a conservative group or individual did the same thing the media would be all over it in a heat beat... the left as a whole seem unwilling or unable to denounce these acts and the others threatened by those among its ranks...where is the accountability?

The lefts PR says they are "preceful protesters" nothing could be futher from the truth. At every protest rally where PW members showed up to show a differing opin than the lefts, they were spat on, blantantly tripped, bullied, and in one dangerous instance, intentionally pushed into oncoming traffic only to barely avoid an SUV. While the lefts legions of cultists prepare to assemble in NYC for the convention they will not be the only ones there...PW as well as other grassroot conservative groups will be there as well counter-protesting the mindless....I will be there as well for I am a member of PW...With the lefts attitude of defeating Bush and the administration "by any means neccessary" they may have seeded the fruits of their own downfall. Never in America's history has the right begun to assemble like this before, maybe its the war on terror, maybe its Iraq..or Afghanastan...maybe its the way Americans feel bout the rampant anti-americanism in the world...maybe its a culmination of all the above but one things for sure....conservative will no longer sit on the sidelines content to allow the radical left to do and say as they see fit...to do so would only see the complete errosion of personal responsibility and freedoms we cherish so much..to them I am a war mongering, nazi, fascist(aside from the fact my grandfathers family was nearly wiped out by the fascists in Italy during WW2).. to me they are nothing more than Useful Idiots (Better to have one Useful Idiot than a hundred trained agents!)

They say those who have no argument to support resort to personal attacks and insults. That didn't even take one message. Guess you nailed them, Couchman.

What, in your opinion, is proper protest? There were people who protested in Boston. I don't remember anyone here calling them "fringe elements of the wacko right." The truth is that no one except the far fringe on both sides of the political spectrum support extremism. Those of us in the middle who believe that elections should be about ideas and goals tire of the rhetoric of both sides. If there is a path to change in politics it doesn't start with "I have the only good idea for America."

Must be true, since no one can really tell us what freedoms we have lost. They think we've lost freedoms, but they can't imagine how much. Neither can I, but then if I could it wouldn't matter, but because I can tell reality from imagination. Granted milage for some differs...

CrispE.... true only to a certain extent where as the extreme right is generally kept to under control to an extent and otherwise doesnt come into the main stream....the left however has made it abundentlly clear they not only welcome their support...but advocate their positions into the main stream....this attitude like I stated in the article is a result of the "anyone but bush" mentality and has quite frankly made a laughing stock of the democratic party...as to what i define as proper protest...thats simple...peaceful...end of story...something in which groups from the left have rarely done as I have been in the middle counter protesting them along with others peacefully only to be rebuffed by violent action on the lefts part....the old saying is true...the left supports freespeech, just not from conservatives

Thanks Gene...I do try ...one of the reasons the article was somewhat abrasive...I wanted to get a rise out of them...pretty much expected it....

lol...true BakerStreet...but then if say there were some rights (I always prefered to call them privledges instead of rights) to which were curtailed after 9-11...there is precident for this...ala the American Civil War, WW1, WW2, the Cold War, in each case when the period in question was over...i.e. victory...all rights that had been suspended were resumed and in some cases more rights were created following...

In war...personal freedoms must give way to National Intrests...but that doesnt mean for good...wish the left could understand that instead of having a mental brain fart

couchman,

Your caricature of the left is annoyingly broad, as apparently, you define "left" as "anyone who is not a lock in step Republican". There are many who disagree with Bush that are not part of the American left; I am among them.

That being said, I don't see the point of leftist demonstrators at the RNC. Their energies would better be directed at voter registration drives in their home districts.

Other than the one critique, this is a well written article.

Gideon....
I left the caricature broad for a reason, while I didnt discuss the world left in general...I feel many around the world hold the same "useful idiot" mentality that the American left suscribes to....as for myself I attended NYC on Sun the 29th of Aug...the day before the RNC convention officially began...and slipped into the anti-Bush march with bout 300 others....intrestingly....everyone from communists to supporters of terrorists were unified in their hate of america as a whole and bush as president...and yes they did physically assault anyone who didnt drink their tainted kool-aid ...that includes myself....

as for the article being well written..lol.. i could have done a hell of alot better....it was just a spirit of the moment article...and not my best
